Hyundai has joined forces with Bisimoto Engineering to create the Bisimoto VelosterRaptor N Concept, which is said to be a consumer-friendly project featuring bolt-on performance upgrades for the Veloster N Performance Package model. It will be unveiled at the 2019 SEMA show that’s happening soon.
Mechanically, the VelosterRaptor’s factory petrol engine has been modified with the latest induction and exhaust technologies, which includes the use of specialty lubricants, sport exhaust systems, efficient intake design, performance feedback electronics, OBD monitoring, and aerodynamic upgrades.
The intake and exhaust modules use pulse-wave technology to enhance volumetric efficiency, while improving inertial supercharging during valvetrain overlap periods. There’s no official output figures as yet, but the VelosterRaptor N is designed to be a “Civic Type R Killer,” so we’re told to expect a horsepower figure above 320 hp.
Other hardware upgrades include a new clutch by Action Clutch, lowered Eibach sports suspension, beefier brakes by Tarox, multispoke wheels by Fifteen52 shod with high-adhesion Toyo tyres, as well as a turbocharger supplied by Turbonetics.
On the outside, it gets a custom-made rear spoiler for added downforce, modified headlights to include Flyryde components, as well as carbon-fibre parts by Dreamworks. Inside, it gets lightweight front seats by Momo, and a specially-designed interactive OBD cluster in the centre console. So, what do you think of this?
