We still more or less know nothing about the new Ford Bronco, apart from the fact that it will still be boxier than an apartment and based on the Ranger. Now, however, the Blue Oval has finally locked in a timeframe for the SUV’s debut, which will be happening in spring.

The announcement was made in the video above, showing some of the badges and logotypes the Bronco wore over the years since its introduction in 1966, as well as the ones the new car will wear. While the new “Bronco” script gets a modern squared-off font, enthusiasts will rejoice the fact that the iconic bucking horse logo will make a welcome return.

As we’ve mentioned, not much is known about the Bronco, but it will be a distinctly separate model from the also-Ranger-based Everest. The company released a teaser last year showing the blocky silhouette, indicating that it will be much shorter than both the Ranger and the Everest. It will also feature a tailgate-mounted spare wheel and a choice of three- or five-door body styles.

Oh, and if you’re holding your breath for the Bronco to make its way over here, don’t – it will only be available in North America, the Middle East and Africa, apparently.
